Our Veterinary Team

Director / Veterinarian

Dr Rob Zammit

Rob is the Head Veterinarian at Zambi Wildlife Retreat as well as one of our Directors, overseeing the specialised care, treatment and long‑term management of many of our most complex species. He also operates his own clinic on‑site at the sanctuary, allowing him to provide immediate, hands‑on veterinary support whenever needed.

Alongside his clinical work, Rob has contributed significantly to public education through long‑running media roles on programs such as A Country Practice, Burke’s Backyard and 2GB radio. Despite his media presence, his primary focus has always remained on practical veterinary care and animal welfare. Rob has supported numerous wildlife organisations over the years and brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and experience to the Zambi team.
