WHAT’S INCLUDED
Avoid the crowds and step into a more intimate experience. You’ll join a small group of guests inside this remarkable facility, guided by a dedicated zookeeper who knows each animal personally. Enjoy meaningful moments and interactions you won’t get anywhere else.
On the ‘ZAMBI Experience’ you will enjoy:
A 2-hour zoo keeper-guided tour: Where the animals will be up close and personal. The keeper will give insights into their personalities, histories, and their special care.
Hand-feeding opportunities with baboons, macaques and macaws
Complimentary hot and cold refreshments and light snacks at our African safari tent.
Optional additional animal encounters. These hands‑on moments offer a rare opportunity to connect with our animals in a safe, ethical way and are often the highlight for guests
A calm, small‑group experience designed around animal welfare and education.
Maximum 10 people per tour
Minimum age: 12 years
Guests under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult (18+)
All feeding and interaction activities are at the keeper’s discretion and based on animal welfare
Peanuts are used during the hand feeding opportunities on the tour. If you have a peanut allergy please advise so an alternative can be arranged.

ZAMBI Experience:
Adults (16+): $175
Seniors (65+): $150
Youth (12–15): $120
Minimum age: 12 years
Maximum group size: 10 guests
Add-on Animal Encounters:
Big Cats Experience - $150 per person
Marmoset Encounter - $110 per person
Meerkat Encounter - $110 per person
Ultimate All Encounters - $340 (save $30)
NOTE: Encounters are optional add-ons and must be booked in conjunction with a ‘ZAMBI Experience’ tour booking.
Encounters take place after your tour and can be added on the day of your visit

Accessibility at ZAMBI Wildlife Retreat
We welcome guests of all abilities and do our best to make the retreat comfortable and accessible. If you have any specific mobility needs, please let us know before your visit so we can make sure your experience is safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Paths: Most areas are accessible via flat pathways with few stairs.
Seating: Most viewing areas have the option of a seat should that be more comfortable for our guests.
Mobility aids: Walkers can be used around the grounds.
Wheelchairs: Guests who use a wheelchair are welcome. We have one wheelchair available on-site. Please enquire at the time of booking so we can reserve it for you.
Mobility scooter: We have one mobility scooter available on-site for guests who may need extra support. Please enquire at the time of booking so we can reserve it for you.

Come and visit the lions at the sanctuary, where they live a serene retirement in habitats designed to resemble their natural environment.

The tigers at ZAMBI live in an enriching environment in habitats that are a tiger Shangri-la. Their favourite activity is often swimming in their pools.

ZAMBI is home to an endangered male Sri Lankan leopard named Phoenix. He is often a favourite by all he meet him.

Phinju the Chinese Red Panda has joined us and is part of an important global conservation program.
